Job Title: Medical Receptionist

Location: Oxford Circus, London
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 6-8 weeks (potential to extend due to busy period)
Pay Rate: £16.00-£17 per hour
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (between 8:00am - 6:00pm, Wednesdays up to 8:00pm)
Shifts: 8:00-5:00 or 9:00-6:00

Overview

We are seeking a polished and professional Reception / Patient Coordinator to join a busy private healthcare setting in Oxford Circus. This role is heavily front‑of‑house focused, with a strong emphasis on delivering an exceptional patient experience, alongside supporting booking and administrative processes.

Key Responsibilities

Reception & Front of House

Welcome patients, visitors, and staff in a professional and friendly manner
Manage incoming calls, direct enquiries, and support patient flow
Handle general administration including data entry, filing, and managing correspondence
Maintain confidentiality and ensure adherence to all policies and procedures
Provide a high level of customer service with empathy and professionalismScheduling & Administration

Coordinate and manage patient appointments via electronic medical records systems
Verify patient details and ensure accurate data capture
Support with patient queries via phone, email, and online systems
Assist with documentation, records, and follow-up communications
Work collaboratively across reception and admin functions as requiredPatient Liaison

Support self-pay patient enquiries and assist with appointment bookings
Provide information on services, pricing, and next steps
Follow up with patients post-consultation
Track bookings and support reporting on activity and KPIs
Assist with events and patient engagement initiatives

Skills & Experience Required

Previous experience within private healthcare reception or patient booking
Basic DBS required
Strong customer service skills across phone, email, and face-to-face
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Confident working in a fast-paced, front-facing environment
Good IT skills including MS Office and patient record systems
Knowledge of medical terminology or healthcare environments is advantageous
