Mental Health Teaching Assistant Location: Corby Start Date: ASAP Contract: Full-time Salary: £92-£95 Per day Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Teaching Assistant to work full-time in a school setting, supporting pupils with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. This role is ideal for someone passionate about mental health and committed to making a positive, long-term impact on young people's lives. The Role: Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs Support students with emotional regulation and positive coping strategies Assist with classroom engagement and behaviour support Work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and pastoral teams Help create a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment The Ideal Candidate: Experience supporting children or young people with mental health or SEMH needs Calm, patient, and emotionally resilient approach Strong communication and relationship-building skills Understanding of safeguarding procedures Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply) Relevant experience may include: education, psychology, youth work, care work, counselling, or mental health support roles.
