MEP CAD Technician

Our client is looking for a CAD Technician to join a growing building services engineering consultancy specialising in intelligent M&E design and sustainability While M&E design and sustainability remain at the core of the business their expanding in-house expertise enables the delivery of integrated low-carbon solutions across a wide range of projects Sustainability is embedded in everything they do with a strong focus on energy efficiency and practical high-performing design The team combines technical excellence with a collaborative solutions-driven approach to achieve the best outcomes for clients Key Responsibilities Setting up drawings and project files to support engineers and design teams Creating and updating Mechanical Electrical and Public Health MEP drawings from engineer mark-ups including plans layouts elevations and schematics Assisting with the development of drawing blocks and templates Supporting Revit modelling and gaining exposure to BIM on live projects Managing document control and maintaining organised project records Working closely with the BIM Manager and wider design team to meet daily tasks and project deadlines Experience & Qualifications GCSEs at Grade C or 4 and above including Maths and Science Grade B preferred Design and Technology qualification advantageous Some experience or strong interest in AutoCAD or similar design software full training provided Genuine interest in construction design and digital technology Good communication skills with a positive attitude to teamwork and learning Well organised reliable and able to manage tasks to deadlines Our client offers clear career progression full training and an excellent benefits package within a supportive and forward-thinking consultancy
