Contract (£350-£450pd)
A leading Tier One Main Contractor is looking to appoint an experienced MEP Design Manager to join the team on a major Data Centre project in West London on a freelance basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong MEP professional to play a key role in the design coordination and delivery of a large-scale Data Centre development, working alongside the wider design and project delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate mechanical and electrical design packages across the project.
Review design drawings, specifications and technical submissions to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Liaise with consultants, subcontractors and the wider construction team to resolve design issues.
Manage design coordination, ensuring interfaces between MEP systems are effectively integrated.
Review technical information and identify potential design clashes or buildability issues.
Support the design development process from pre-construction through to installation and commissioning.
Monitor design progress against project programmes and key milestones.
Requirements
Previous experience in an MEP Design Manager role within the construction industry.
Experience working on Data Centre or other complex MEP projects.
Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building services systems.
Experience with design coordination, technical reviews and resolving design issues.
Ability to liaise effectively with consultants, subcontractors and project teams.
