An established and growing multidisciplinary consultancy is seeking a high-calibre Building Services Engineering Surveyor to strengthen its technical team. This is an opportunity for an experienced MEP professional who thrives on autonomy, technical excellence, and delivering commercially astute advice across a diverse property portfolio. If you are confident assessing complex building services, advising clients on risk and capital expenditure, and contributing to high-level technical due diligence across the UK â€" this role offers real influence and progression. The Opportunity You will play a pivotal role in delivering: Technical Due Diligence (TDD) Condition Surveys Dilapidations assessments (M&E) 10-year CAPEX forecasting Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) strategies Feasibility studies and engineering appraisals Working across commercial, mixed-use and varied asset types, your expertise will directly inform investment decisions, asset management strategies and lifecycle planning. While the core focus is surveying and advisory, you will also have opportunities to support design consultancy and project monitoring activities â€" providing exposure across the full building lifecycle. What You’ll Be Doing Conducting detailed MEP site inspections across the UK (primarily London and surrounding regions, with occasional wider UK and European travel) Reviewing maintenance records, statutory documentation, O&M manuals and lease information Producing clear, commercially focused MEP reports with lifecycle cost projections Preparing dilapidations schedules relating to building services Developing multi-asset PPM and CAPEX programmes Undertaking feasibility studies and producing technical reports (with drawings where required) Managing project budgets, resources and external consultants where necessary Supporting performance specifications, contractor monitoring and quality assurance Contributing to business development, fee proposals and client presentations Conducting peer reviews and upholding technical quality standards Maintaining current knowledge of legislation, standards and best practice This is a role for someone who can operate confidently, independently and professionally â€" representing the consultancy with integrity and commercial awareness. About You You are technically strong, commercially aware and confident engaging with clients and stakeholders. Experience & Qualifications: Minimum 5 years’ experience in building services engineering Degree qualified (or minimum HNC/HND equivalent) in Building Services Engineering or related discipline Professionally accredited (or working towards Chartership) with CIBSE, IMechE, IET or equivalent Strong working knowledge of industry software such as IES, Hevacomp, Amtech, AutoCAD and Bluebeam Proficient in Microsoft Office tools Personal Attributes: Exceptional report writing and communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving ability High attention to detail Commercially and politically astute Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously Organised with excellent time management Comfortable working remotely and independently Flexible and willing to travel (including occasional overnight stays) Trustworthy, discreet and professional at all times Why Join?
