Metal Polisher

Jackson Hogg is recruiting for an experienced Metal Polisher/Fettler to join a leading precision engineering manufacturer. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in deburring, fettling, grinding, polishing, and finishing metal components to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

* Deburr metal components using files, scrapers, and rotary tools

* Remove sharp edges and prepare parts for final inspection

* Grind and polish components to engineering drawing requirements

* Use air tools and hand tools to achieve high-quality surface finishes

* Carry out light polishing of steel and aluminium components

* Perform visual inspections to ensure quality standards are met

* Complete production and quality documentation accurately

* Work in line with quality, safety, and environmental procedures

* Support continuous improvement activities across the workshop

What We're Looking For

* Previous experience as a Metal Polisher, Fettler, Deburrer, Grinder, or Finisher

* Ability to read and follow work lists, instructions, and drawings

* Experience using hand tools, air tools, and inspection equipment

* Strong attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination

* Able to carry out repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standards

* Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision

* Physically fit and comfortable standing for extended periods

* Flexible to work overtime when required
