MFL Teacher (Spanish & French) – Secondary School (KS3 & KS4) Location: Fareham Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Long-term cover until July 2027 (potential to go permanent) Pay: £168 – £250 per day (dependent on experience) About the School This  secondary school in Fareham is known for its excellent pastoral care, and commitment to helping every student flourish academically and personally. The Role We are seeking a passionate and dedicated MFL Teacher specialising in Spanish and French to join the school from September 2026. You will deliver engaging and high-quality language lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, fostering confidence in communication and a love for languages. The role involves contributing to a dynamic Languages department that values collaboration, high standards, and inclusive teaching. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging Spanish and French lessons in line with the national curriculum and the school’s values Develop students’ speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills across both languages Encourage cultural awareness and enthusiasm for language learning Assess, monitor, and provide constructive feedback to support student progress Maintain a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment Contribute to extracurricular activities such as language clubs and cultural events Uphold the school’s ethos of respect, aspiration, and personal development Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Degree in Modern Foreign Languages or a related subject Experience teaching Spanish and French at KS3 and KS4 Strong subject knowledge and understanding of curriculum expectations Excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills A commitment to inspiring confidence and enthusiasm in language learning Benefits Competitive daily rate (£168 – £250, dependent on experience) Supportive and welcoming school community Opportunities for professional development Ongoing guidance and support through Supply Desk
