MOT Technician

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of MOT Technician in Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified and experienced MOT Technician seeking to join a reputable, well-established garage with multiple locations nationwide. The MOT Technician will be a key member of the service team, ensuring vehicle safety standards are met through comprehensive MOT testing and vehicle repairs.

Basic salary up to £36,000
On-target earnings (OTE) approximately £38,000
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm; Saturdays on a rota, 8:30am – 4:00pm

Carrying out MOT tests in line with DVSA requirements
Performing repairs and maintenance on a wide variety of vehicles
Accurately completing all relevant paperwork and test documentation
Delivering high-quality service and ensuring customer satisfaction
Maintaining high standards of safety and compliance within the workshopRequirements of an MOT Technician:

NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
Valid MOT Testing Licence
Full UK Driving Licence
Previous experience in a similar role preferred
High attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
