School Maintenance Technician Multiple Sites - Nottingham City, South Nottinghamshire & Leicester £26,013 - £28,138 per annum Permanent | 37.5 hours per week We are working with a specialist education provider to recruit a Maintenance Technician to support multiple learning sites across the East Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in ensuring safe, well-maintained environments where children and young people can thrive. The Role As a Multi-Site Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining buildings and grounds to a high standard, ensuring they remain safe, secure and fit for purpose. Key responsibilities include: Carrying out general repairs, decorating and planned maintenance Maintaining fixtures, fittings, equipment and building fabric Monitoring systems including heating, ventilation and lighting Managing site security (opening/closing buildings, alarm checks) Keeping outdoor areas clean, safe and hazard-free Supporting statutory compliance (e.g. fire alarms, emergency lighting, PAT testing) Handling portering duties, deliveries, room setups and waste management Responding to maintenance issues and emergencies promptly Driving company vehicles, including minibuses, when required About You We're looking for a hands-on, proactive individual who takes pride in their work. You will have: Practical maintenance skills (basic joinery, plumbing, electrical work) A good understanding of Health & Safety regulations The ability to work independently across multiple sites A flexible, can-do approach with strong problem-solving skills A full UK driving licence (essential) APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR SPENCER CLARKE GROUP All applications are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, professional reference checks, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) in line with our stringent safeguarding policy.
