The Role
We are looking for a hands-on Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with proven experience in a manufacturing environment. This role is primarily focused on reactive mechanical maintenance, with an element of planned preventative electrical maintenance (PPM). 50/50 .
You will support approximately 30 production machines, including extruders, printers, and converters, ensuring maximum uptime and production efficiency. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and will become an integral part of the maintenance team.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out reactive mechanical and electrical maintenance on production equipment.
* Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to minimise downtime.
* Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical faults.
* Read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
* Provide technical support for machinery breakdowns, installations, and improvement projects.
* Assist with general building services maintenance, including:
* Emergency lighting testing
* Fire alarm testing
* Air Handling Unit (AHU) PPMs
* Lamp replacements
* Basic plumbing tasks
* Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to ensure the plant operates safely and efficiently.
Requirements
* Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong mechanical maintenance experience with electrical knowledge.
* Relevant electrical qualifications or certification are desirable.
* Ability to fault-find on electrical and mechanical systems.
* Ability to read and interpret technical mechanical and electrical drawings.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
