Shift Pattern

Week 1: 4 nights — 6:00pm–6:00am
Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday & Friday — 6:00am–6:00pm
Week 3: Monday, Tuesday & Friday — 6:00am–6:00pm
Week 4: Monday, Thursday & Friday — 6:00am–6:00pm
Week 5: Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday — 6:00am–6:00pm

The Role

An established employee-owned manufacturing business with a strong reputation for innovation, quality and sustainability is looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering team.

This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for keeping a busy manufacturing site operating safely, reliably and efficiently. You'll respond to breakdowns, carry out planned maintenance and inspections, and contribute to projects and continuous improvement across the site.

Key Responsibilities

* Respond quickly and effectively to equipment breakdowns and faults

* Carry out planned preventative maintenance, statutory checks and inspections

* Prioritise maintenance activities to minimise downtime and support production requirements

* Complete accurate end-of-shift reports and communicate outstanding issues to the incoming team

* Manage contractors on site, including inductions, permits and safe systems of work

* Work in line with health, safety and environmental procedures, including permit-to-work and isolation systems

* Support engineering, improvement and wider site projects

* Provide additional support during emergency breakdown situations when required

About You

You'll ideally have:

* Strong experience in multi-skilled maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment

* Good mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills

* The ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings

* Sound knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems

* Good computer skills and confidence using digital maintenance/reporting systems

* ONC level qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification

* PLC fault-finding experience would be advantageous

* Additional skills in machining, welding or pipe fitting would be beneficial

* First Aid, forklift or scissor lift qualifications would be desirable
