Apply NowQuestech Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of an established FMCG manufacturing business in Sherburn-in-Elmet who are looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team on permanent night shifts.
Location: Sherburn-in-Elmet
Salary: Starting from £50,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: 6pm – 6am (2 on 2 off, 3 on 2 off, 2 on 3 off)
The Role
*
Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across the site.
*
Electrical and mechanical fault finding on manufacturing machinery.
*
Diagnosing and repairing breakdowns to minimise production downtime.
*
Maintaining and repairing motors, conveyors, drives and other production equipment.
*
Working closely with production teams to ensure machinery operates efficiently.
*
Supporting continuous improvement and machinery reliability.
*
Ensuring all maintenance activities comply with health & safety and food safety standards.
*
Maintaining accurate maintenance records and communicating effectively with other departments.
The Candidate
*
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
*
Previous experience working as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
*
Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
*
Experience maintaining and repairing automated production machinery.
*
Previous food manufacturing experience would be advantageous.
*
Minimum Level 2 Food Safety qualification preferred.
*
Ability to work independently and as part of an engineering team.
*
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance
