Role:Multi Skilled Operative – Carpenter Contract:Permanent - full time Location:Barnstaple and surrounding areas Hours:37 hours Salary:Up to £31,464.72 per annum depending on experience - plus benefits The Role Are you an experienced carpenter looking to make a difference within the North Devon community? North Devon Homes is seeking a carpenter to join our Multi-Skilled Operatives within our Response & Void team. You’ll deliver high-quality improvement, repair, and installation activities, ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities: * Carry out a full range of Repair & Maintenance to a professional standard, whilst being highly productive and working with minimum supervision. * Work collaboratively with colleagues, subcontractors, and customers to deliver an efficient, customer-focused repairs service. * Maintain excellent service standards and represent North Devon Homes professionally. * Support continuous improvement and promote our values and culture. * Adhere to Health and Safety legislation and operational protocols. * Manage van stock and issued equipment effectively. * Participate in out-of-hours service provision when required. What We’re Looking For: * Experience in delivering high levels of customer service. * Competency in fitting worktops, lock& latches, fitting & repairing uPVC windows & doors; replacing fence panels &posts; replacing floorboards; replacing timber internal & external doors & door furniture. * City & Guilds Level 2 Qualification in carpentry or similar. * Full, valid UK driving licence. * Strong knowledge of construction activities and Health & Safety legislation. * Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. * Flexible, resilient, and committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
