Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Operative to join a well-established joinery business based in Winchester. This role will involve supporting the production and movement of bespoke staircase components, alongside general workshop duties.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with experience in joinery, manufacturing or warehouse environments, who is comfortable with physical work and operating machinery.
Key Responsibilities
* Operating Counterbalance and Combi forklifts to move materials and finished goods
* Assisting in the production of bespoke staircase joinery components
* Loading, unloading and transporting timber and materials across the workshop
* Supporting skilled joiners with basic woodworking tasks
* Carrying out manual handling and heavy lifting
* Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
* Following all health & safety procedures
Requirements
* Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential)
* Experience operating a Combi (multi-directional) forklift (highly desirable)
* Experience within joinery, woodworking, manufacturing or warehouse environments
* Comfortable with heavy lifting
* Strong work ethic, reliability and team attitude
Desirable Skills
* Experience within staircase or bespoke joinery manufacturing
* Familiarity with woodworking tools and machinery
* Previous experience working in a workshop environment
