Job Title: Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer (Electrical Bias) Location: Oxford Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum Working Hours: Rotating Shift Pattern (Days) An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join the facilities team at a large, modern shopping centre in Oxford. This is a permanent position working within a professional on-site engineering team responsible for maintaining the building’s critical M&E infrastructure. The role will involve supporting the safe and efficient operation of the centre, ensuring all electrical and mechanical systems are maintained to a high standard. The Role: • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works across M&E systems. • Maintaining electrical systems including lighting, power distribution and emergency lighting. • Supporting mechanical plant including HVAC, pumps and general building services equipment. • Responding to breakdowns and troubleshooting technical issues across the site. • Ensuring all maintenance activities comply with health & safety and site procedures. Shift Pattern: Week A: • Monday – Wednesday: 07:00 – 19:00 • Thursday & Friday: Off • Saturday: 08:00 – 19:00 • Sunday: 08:00 – 17:00 Week B: • Monday – Wednesday: Off • Thursday & Friday: 07:00 – 19:00 • Saturday & Sunday: Off Package: • Salary up to £45,000 • 25 days annual leave • Overtime available • Call-out rota 1 in 4 (£100 standby) • Park & Ride option available for convenient access into the city centre • Opportunity to work within a large, well-managed commercial facility Requirements: • Electrical qualification – City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent. • Experience working within building services or commercial maintenance environments. • Multi-skilled approach with basic mechanical knowledge. • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
