Role: Music Teacher  Location: Manchester Enterprise Academy  Rate of Pay: £150 to £180 a day depending on experience  Work Pattern: Monday to Friday   Duration: Fixed Term job – until the end of July 8am- 4pm  HG Recruitment are recruiting for temporary MUSIC TEACHER based in MANCHESTER.  APPLY NOW or contact Hannah on  or (phone number removed).  The Secondary School MUSIC TEACHER is responsible for delivering high-quality music education to students aged 11–18, fostering creativity, musical skill, and an appreciation of music across a range of styles, traditions, and technologies. The role supports students’ academic progress, personal development, and engagement with the wider school community.  Key Responsibilities  Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging music lessons in line with the national or school curriculum  Teach a range of musical skills, including performance, composition, listening, and music theory  Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback  Prepare students for examinations, performances, and assessments  Manage classroom behaviour effectively to create a positive learning environment  Organise and support extracurricular activities such as choirs, bands, ensembles, and school performances  Use music technology and resources effectively, including notation software and recording tools  Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of students of varying abilities and backgrounds  Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning  Participate in school events, concerts, parents’ evenings, and professional development activities  Uphold safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies at all times  Person Specification  Essential  Qualified Teacher Status (or equivalent)  Degree in Music or a related subject  Strong knowledge of music theory, performance, and composition  Ability to teach across Key Stages (or equivalent secondary levels)  Excellent communication and classroom management skills  Commitment to inclusive education and student wellbeing  Desirable  Ability to teach an instrument or vocal studies  Experience preparing students for public examinations  Experience leading extracurricular music activities  Confidence using music technology and digital learning tools  Skills and Attributes  Passion for music education and youth development  Creativity and enthusiasm in lesson delivery  Strong organisational and time-management skills  Ability to work collaboratively within a department and wider school team  Commitment to ongoing professional development  About HG Recruitment  Decades of experience in recruitment and supply, HG has a strong well-established reputation.
