NDT Inspector
Shift: Day Shift
Location: Bristol
We have an excellent opportunity within a rapidly expanding, well-established precision engineering company based near Bristol. We are seeking a qualified NDT Inspector responsible for examining components using Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods, including dye penetrant immersion and magnetic flaw detection, to ensure parts meet drawing specifications and process standards without cracks or defects. Additionally, you will be responsible for processing components through specific Heat Treatment procedures to guarantee defect-free conformity with technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities – NDT Inspector
Conduct Non-Destructive Testing using dye penetrant immersion and magnetic flaw detection to verify components meet drawing and process standards, ensuring no defects or cracks are present
Support Manufacturing Group Leaders throughout the production process, helping to maintain or improve planned process times
Operate and manage Heat Treatment processes to ensure components comply with drawing and process specifications without defects
Inspect, calibrate, test, and verify Heat Treatment equipment to maintain operational integrity
Be flexible to work alternative shifts or hours as required
Generate data cards for new components or drawing revisions
Qualifications & Requirements – NDT Inspector
Proven ability to identify defects in components accurately
Strong understanding of quality control procedures
Excellent communication skills, able to engage effectively at all organisational levels
In-depth knowledge of dye penetrant and magnetic flaw detection techniques
Current Level 2 NDT certification
Relevant engineering experience
Comprehensive knowledge of NDT processes
Familiarity with manufacturing techniques
Ability to interpret engineering drawings
