Near Chartered Structural Engineer
Structural Engineer 3 years+ (hybrid) Are you a Structural Engineer looking to take the next step in your career within a well-established, design-led consultancy? This is an opportunity to join a respected structural engineering practice working on a wide range of high-quality projects across residential, commercial, and mixed-use sectors. You will be part of an experienced team in an open-plan, collaborative working environment, contributing to innovative and efficient structural design solutions from concept through to completion. You will have the opportunity to work alongside and get mentored by highly experienced Chartered Engineers who will provide excellent mentorship and support your ongoing career development to chartership You will play a key role in delivering structural designs, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting the successful delivery of projects across all stages. Your responsibilities will include: Producing structural designs and calculations for a variety of building projects Preparing drawings, reports, and technical specifications Assisting in the delivery of projects from concept design through to construction Coordinating with architects, contractors, and other consultants Attending site visits and project meetings Supporting senior engineers in developing efficient and buildable solutions Ensuring designs comply with UK Building Regulations and Eurocodes Contributing to project delivery within agreed timelines and budgets Experience Required Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering Minimum 3+ years’ experience within a UK structural engineering consultancy Working towards Chartership (IStructE or ICE) Experience in structural design using common materials (steel, concrete, masonry, timber) Familiarity with structural design software such as TEDDS, Tekla, Robot or similar Understanding of UK Building Regulations and Eurocodes Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to manage workload and prioritise tasks effectively Salary & Package £35-50k (depending on experience) 25+ days annual leave + bank holidays Pension contribution Training and development support toward Chartership Hybrid working (typically 1–2 days from home) Exposure to a wide range of high-quality projects Supportive and collaborative working environment
