NIGHT Shift Food Production Manager
Location: Chorley Hours :22:00 – 06:00 Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 (DOE) Contract Type: Permanent Position Are you an experienced Food Manufacturing Shift Manager looking for your next challenge? We are recruiting for a dynamic and hands-on Night Shift Production Manager to lead operations within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment in Chorley. This is a pivotal role, responsible for ensuring production targets are met while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, and team performance. Key Responsibilities * Supervise and coordinate production staff to achieve shift targets * Ensure strict compliance with food safety, BRC, and ISO9001 standards * Monitor production KPIs and drive continuous improvement * Troubleshoot operational issues and minimise downtime * Oversee machinery performance and coordinate maintenance when required * Manage labour effectively to optimise productivity * Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing night shift team * Maintain a clean, safe, and audit-ready production environment What We’re Looking For * Essential: Experience within the Food Manufacturing sector * Proven experience in a supervisory/management role within manufacturing * Strong leadership and people management skills * Knowledge of BRC and ISO9001 standards * Excellent problem-solving ability * Experience managing production machinery and maintenance coordination * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Your Objectives * Meet or exceed production targets * Minimise waste and maximise efficiency * Ensure smooth shift handovers * Maintain compliance with safety and quality standards * Develop a motivated, skilled production team Salary & Benefits * £30,000 – £35,000 depending on experience * Company pension * On-site parking * Staff rewards scheme
