Nursery Assistant (Full Time) Location: Chichester Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Long-Term (potentially permanent) Pay: £88 - £100 per day About the Role We are looking for a Nursery Assistant to join a welcoming nursery in Chichester. This rewarding role involves supporting young children in their early learning and development, assisting with daily activities, and fostering a safe and nurturing environment. You will work closely with the nursery team to ensure each child receives personalised support and guidance. The role is full-time, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. About the Nursery The nursery is known for its inclusive, child-centered approach, providing high-quality care and education to children aged 0–5. The dedicated team works closely with parents and external professionals to support every child’s learning, social, and emotional development. The setting focuses on fostering curiosity, confidence, and positive interactions among children while ensuring their wellbeing is always a priority. Key Responsibilities Support daily activities and routines for children in the nursery. Assist in planning and delivering age-appropriate learning experiences. Promote positive social interactions and encourage independence. Observe and support each child’s development, maintaining accurate records. Work collaboratively with nursery staff, parents, and external professionals. Ensure a safe, clean, and nurturing environment at all times. Requirements Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or early years setting. Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities. Patient, caring, and enthusiastic approach to supporting young children. Good communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and staff.
