Deputy Nursery Manager

Location: Stourbridge, West Midlands
Hours: Full-time – 40 hours per week, all year round
Salary: £30,076.80

Smart Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Deputy Nursery Manager on behalf of a supportive nursery setting in Stourbridge.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced early years professional looking to take the next step in their career within a welcoming and nurturing environment.

About the Role

As Deputy Nursery Manager, you will work closely with the Nursery Manager to support the daily running of the nursery and ensure high standards of care, safeguarding, and learning are maintained throughout the setting.

You will play a key role in supporting staff, building strong relationships with families, and helping create a positive environment where children can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Nursery Manager with day-to-day operations
Lead the nursery team in the manager’s absence
Ensure compliance with EYFS and safeguarding requirements
Support staff mentoring and professional development
Build positive relationships with children, families, and professionals
Maintain a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment
Promote high standards of care and learning throughout the nursery

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience in a senior nursery practitioner or deputy manager role
Strong understanding of EYFS and safeguarding
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Passion for early years education and childcare
Relevant childcare qualification
A positive, caring, and proactive attitude
