Nursery Manager

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Nursery Manager to lead our lovely nursery in Lewisham. The ideal candidate will have previous nursery experience, ideally including management responsibilities, and excellent English communication skills. We are seeking someone who is professional, responsible, and empathetic, with a clear vision for supporting children, families, and staff. Working Hours * Full-time: 40–50 hours per week * 52 weeks per year * Working pattern options: * Full days with one weekday off, or * 5 days per week * Paid lunch break Key Responsibilities * Lead and support nursery staff while promoting wellbeing and a positive team culture * Oversee staff training, supervision, and professional development * Ensure compliance with safeguarding requirements, risk assessments, and Early Years policies * Maintain high standards of care and education for children * Act as a professional role model, demonstrating empathy and respect towards children, families, and staff Skills & Qualities * Experience in nursery management or supervisory roles * Strong leadership and organisational skills * Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities * Commitment to staff wellbeing and development * Strong knowledge of Early Years Foundation Stage requirements and safeguarding regulations * SENCO experience is desirable This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional who is passionate about early years education and eager to lead a vibrant, supportive team
