The Role
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will support the daily running of a designated nursery room and help create a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. You will work closely with colleagues to plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), ensuring every child receives high-quality care and education.
Responsibilities
Support the daily operations of your allocated nursery room
Plan, deliver, and adapt age-appropriate activities in line with EYFS
Supervise and motivate children, ensuring their wellbeing and development
Monitor, record, and report on children’s progress and learning milestones
Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers, and colleagues
Uphold all safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies
Work collaboratively with nursery management to maintain high standards
Skills and Experience
Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification (full and relevant for EYFS)
Experience in a nursery or early years setting
Confidence to work independently or as part of a team
Good working knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding requirements
Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
Location and Package
Based in West Bromwich, accessible from Birmingham, Sandwell, and Walsall
