Location: Swansea
Salary: £43,000 - £46,000 per annum
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent (In-Person)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Obstetrics Sonographer to join a growing clinical team in Swansea. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified sonographer who is passionate about providing exceptional care to expectant mothers while working within a supportive and professional environment.

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality obstetric ultrasound services, supporting patient wellbeing and contributing to positive pregnancy outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

* Perform a range of obstetric ultrasound examinations.

* Monitor fetal growth, development, and wellbeing throughout pregnancy.

* Produce high-quality diagnostic images using advanced ultrasound equipment.

* Explain procedures clearly and provide reassurance to patients.

* Accurately document findings and prepare detailed reports.

* Maintain patient records in line with professional and regulatory standards.

* Collaborate closely with obstetricians, gynaecologists, and multidisciplinary teams.

* Ensure compliance with clinical governance, health and safety, and infection control procedures.

* Participate in continuing professional development activities.

Essential Requirements

* Degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Medical Sonography with an obstetric specialism.

* HCPC or NMC registration (or eligibility to register).

* Registration with a recognised sonography accreditation body (or eligibility).

* Strong knowledge of obstetric scanning techniques, fetal anatomy, and fetal development.

* Excellent communication and patient care skills.

* Ability to produce accurate reports and maintain strict confidentiality.

* Minimum of 2 years' sonography experience.

Additional Information

* Occasional travel to the Liverpool branch may be required for training, meetings, and professional development activities.
