Occupational Therapist
Role and responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments, develop individualised intervention plans, and deliver evidence-based therapies to children with various needs.
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, parents, and other professionals, to ensure a holistic approach to care
Provide training and support to schools, families, and other staff on best practices for supporting children's occupational therapy needs
Manage a caseload of children, meeting on a regular basis, providing ongoing support and monitoring their progress throughout the academic year
Develop and utilise specialist skills in areas such as sensory integration, or other relevant interventions.
Requirements:
Registered Occupational Therapist with a relevant degree or equivalent
Experience working with children, particularly those with complex needs, is preferred
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and assessment skills are essential
Desirable:
Experience in specific areas like SEN, schools, or specific interventions
