Offshore Heavy Lift Vessel Coordinator
Role Summary
The Offshore Heavy Lift Vessel Coordinator supports the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of offshore heavy lift vessel campaigns. The role coordinates vessel staffing, mobilisation, logistics, readiness, and operational planning activities to ensure each vessel is prepared to execute campaign scope.
The role acts as a key coordination point between offshore teams and onshore support functions. It ensures people, training, travel, documentation, tooling readiness, and planning data are aligned to operational demand. The Vessel Coordinator helps reduce disruption, improves readiness, and supports safe delivery across vessel operations.
• Coordinate vessel staffing plans in line with campaign schedules, crew rotations, and operational demand.
• Support the allocation and tracking of offshore personnel to ensure vessels are staffed with the required number of competent resources.
• Coordinate mobilisation and demobilisation activities for assigned vessels, including readiness of personnel, travel, documentation, and related logistics.
• Maintain oversight of personnel readiness requirements such as training validity, certifications, medicals, visas, and other deployment needs.
• Track vessel demand against available resources and highlight gaps, risks, clashes, and late changes to the relevant manager.
• Maintain accurate vessel coordination data, trackers, and planning records to support reporting and operational decision-making.
• Liaise with Vessel Site Managers, Resource Management, Project Management, EHS, Training, Procurement, Travel, and other support teams to ensure campaign alignment
Requirements

• BOSIET/ HUET
• Experience in offshore operations, vessel coordination, logistics, workforce planning, or a similar operational support role.
• Experience working in a delivery-focused environment with multiple stakeholders and changing priorities.
• Good understanding of offshore mobilisation, crew coordination, and personnel readiness requirements.
• Experience maintaining planning trackers, reports, and operational records with a high level of accuracy.
• Experience working across functional interfaces to support operational delivery.
• Experience in offshore wind, marine, heavy lift, construction, or related field service operations is preferred.
• Strong planning and coordination skills.
• Structured and disciplined approach to follow-up.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Able to manage multiple priorities across different vessels and timelines.
• Clear and effective communication.
