‍🎓 About the Student The student is a capable Year 9 learner who experiences school-related anxiety, which significantly impacts her confidence, engagement and academic progress. She benefits from a calm, predictable and supportive learning environment and needs a tutor who can build trust and help her feel safe to learn. 🌱 The Ideal Tutor Will: Have experience teaching or tutoring KS3 / Year 9 level Be confident supporting English, Maths and Science at this level Be trauma-informed or experienced working with young people with anxiety or emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA) Be patient, empathetic and skilled at building rapport Be able to differentiate work and adapt pacing according to emotional readiness Incorporate mentoring approaches to rebuild confidence, motivation and study habits Communicate clearly with parents/carers regarding progress Experience with SEND, SEMH needs, or anxiety-based learning barriers is highly desirable.
