We are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Operations Manager to support the CEO with daily operations. This role involves maintaining production schedules, inventory management, daily operational functions for warehouse, production and distribution.

Michael Page is partnering exclusively with an established, privately owned manufacturing business with over 30 years' successful trading to recruit a hands‑on Operations Manager for its site near Winchester, Hampshire to support senior leadership and take ownership of daily operations across production, warehouse, and distribution.

Description

The Operations Manager will report to and to and work closely with the CEO. This is a key operational leadership role, ideal for someone who enjoys being close to the action in a fast‑paced environment. You will manage resources, people, and processes to ensure operational efficiency, compliance, and service excellence.Key Responsibilities

Manage day‑to‑day manufacturing, warehouse, and distribution operations
Oversee production planning, procurement, inventory, and resource allocation
Lead and develop operational teams, ensuring adequate cover at all times
Ensure compliance with ISO standards, UK Health & Safety, and food safety requirements
Oversee transport operations, scheduling, and driver performance
Monitor budgets, invoices, and operational spend
Act as first point of contact for Health & Safety matters
Support audits, continuous improvement, and operational projectsProfile

The successful Operations manager will posses a range of the following:

Proven experience in a managerial role within FMCG manufacturing
Strong knowledge of supply chain, warehousing, and distribution
A practical, confident leader with excellent organisational and problem‑solving skills
Self motivated, energetic and ability to motivate team
Comfortable working hands‑on in a small, high‑performing team
Competent with Microsoft Office and operational reporting (SAP an advantage)Job Offer

Salary £50,000- £55,000
25days annual leave plus bank holidays
Company pension scheme
