The Role
We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead operational performance across our potato production facility. You will be responsible for creating the systems, standards and governance that enable every shift to perform at its best, driving operational excellence through strong leadership, continuous improvement and data-driven decision making. Working closely with Production, Engineering, Technical and Supply Chain teams, you will ensure consistent standards, develop operational leaders and deliver measurable improvements in safety, quality, productivity and cost.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop the Production Management team to deliver operational excellence across all shifts.
* Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and high performance.
* Monitor and review operational performance, using data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
* Lead Continuous Improvement projects that deliver sustainable operational and financial benefits.
* Manage departmental labour performance and operational costs.
* Coach and develop future leaders through effective performance management and succession planning.
* Ensure consistent operational standards and governance across the department.
* Maintain compliance with Health & Safety, Food Safety and customer requirements.
Skills & Experience
* Proven leadership experience in a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
* Strong people management and coaching skills.
* Experience driving continuous improvement and operational performance.
* Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and KPIs.
* Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
* Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
