Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter & Decorator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes to residential, commercial, and industrial properties while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling cracks, and removing old paint or wallpaper.
Apply paint, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
Hang wallpaper and other decorative wall coverings where required.
Mix and match paint colours to customer or project specifications.
Protect furniture, flooring, and surrounding areas before starting work.
Ensure all work is completed to a high-quality standard and within agreed deadlines.
Inspect completed work and carry out touch-ups where necessary.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Follow all health and safety regulations, including the safe use of ladders, scaffolding, and PPE.
Communicate professionally with clients, supervisors, and team members.
Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator or in a similar role.
Good knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and decorating methods.
Ability to prepare surfaces to a high standard
