Painter

Bridgeman Recruitment Services are currently recruiting experienced Painter & Decorators to work on refurbishment and fit-out projects across student accommodation and NHS environments. Projects will include both occupied and live site settings, requiring a clean, professional, and high-quality finish at all times.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of internal painting and decorating works to a high standard, working efficiently while maintaining site safety and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

* Internal painting and decorating across refurbishment projects

* Surface preparation including sanding, filling, and priming

* Emulsion, gloss, and finishing works

* Wall and ceiling painting in occupied and live environments

* Wallpaper hanging and feature wall finishes where required

* Touch-up and snagging works to high standards

* Ensuring clean, tidy, and safe working areas at all times

* Working to drawings, specifications, and site requirements

* Liaising with site teams to meet programme deadlines

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator on construction/refurbishment projects

* Valid CSCS card (essential)

* Ability to deliver high-quality finishes with attention to detail

* Experience working in occupied/live environments

* Good timekeeping and reliability

* Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Desirable

* Experience on NHS, education, or student accommodation projects

* NVQ or City & Guilds in Painting & Decorating

* Own tools and transport

* DBS clearance (or willingness to undergo checks if required)
