Payroll Executive 📍 Portsmouth (Office-Based) 💰 £27,500 – £29,500 Contract: Full-Time, Permanent The Role A client-facing Payroll Executive position within a busy payroll bureau environment, responsible for delivering accurate and timely payroll services for a portfolio of clients. You will manage end-to-end payroll processing, respond to payroll queries, and ensure compliance with payroll legislation while working collaboratively within the payroll hub. Key Responsibilities * Process end-to-end payroll for a portfolio of clients * Ensure payrolls are delivered accurately and within agreed deadlines * Input payroll data, run audit checks, and validate payroll calculations * Administer statutory payments (SSP, SMP etc.) * Manage auto-enrolment and pension processing * Complete year-end payroll reporting where required * Handle payroll queries from clients and act as first-line support * Liaise with HMRC and third-party providers * Maintain payroll records and ensure legislative compliance The Ideal Candidate * Minimum 1 year payroll experience (bureau experience desirable) * Strong understanding of payroll processing and legislation * Experience managing end-to-end payroll including pensions and statutory payments * High attention to detail and accuracy * Strong customer service and communication skills * Able to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines * Comfortable working in a fast-paced, service-driven environment Interested?
