Apply NowWe are recruiting for a PDI Technician, Pre-Delivery Inspection Technician, Vehicle Technician or Automotive Technician to join a busy main dealership in Colchester. Applicants must hold a Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent), have a Full UK Driving Licence and the right to work in the UK. Previous motor trade experience is preferred, with candidates from main dealerships and independent garages considered.
Location: Colchester
Salary: £31,000 Basic | OTE: Up to £36,880 (Uncapped)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm, plus 1 in 3 Saturday mornings (8:30am – 12:30pm, with time off in lieu)

PDI Technician Role
Carry out Pre-Delivery Inspections on new and used vehicles
Complete vehicle health checks and identify defects
Carry out initial servicing, minor repairs and adjustments
Prepare hybrid and electric vehicles for customer handover
Ensure vehicles meet manufacturer quality and safety standards
Accurately complete inspection reports and workshop documentation
Report defects and additional repair requirements to the Aftersales Manager
PDI Technician Requirements
Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Competence (or equivalent qualification)
Previous motor trade experience is preferred
Experience within a main dealership or independent garage is welcomed
Good understanding of vehicle servicing, inspections and maintenance
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Full UK Driving Licence
Right to work in the UK
