Apply NowFawkes & Reece are partnering with a well-established construction business to recruit an experienced Site Manager for their Aftercare Team. This role focuses on the final stages of project delivery, ensuring a smooth transition from completion through handover and the defects liability period.
You will play a key role in maintaining quality standards, resolving defects, and supporting client satisfaction across multiple projects in London.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the aftercare process from pre-handover through the defects liability period
* Monitor and resolve defects, including achieving Making Good Defects (MGD) sign-off
* Carry out site inspections across multiple projects
* Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely issue resolution
* Maintain accurate records and update internal systems
* Produce regular progress reports
* Manage aftercare-related budgets
* Support handover and close-out, including facilities management coordination
* Conduct audits and ensure contractual compliance
Stakeholder Management
* Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors
* Liaise with project and contract managers to resolve defects and liability issues
* Act as the main point of contact for aftercare queries and updates
* Work both independently and as part of a wider team
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Site Manager or in Aftercare / Defects Management
* Strong knowledge of construction processes, regulations, and contracts
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
* Proactive, organised, and solutions-focused
* M&E knowledge (desirable)
* Comfortable using digital reporting systems
