Plant and Logistics Administrator
We are seeking a proactive Plant and Logistics Administrator to be based out of Sealand Road, Chester CH1 6BX
Key Responsibilities
Material & Equipment Logistics
* Coordinate the scheduling, delivery, and tracking of materials and equipment required for all CCS work phases, including enabling works, pipeline activities, and civils/mechanical operations noted in workforce forecasts.
* Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure timely availability of critical components.
* Oversee unloading, storage, and distribution processes at laydown areas and site compounds.
Site & Personnel Movement
* Plan and manage workforce logistics aligned with the labour headcount and phasing forecasts for 2025–2027.
* Coordinate transport arrangements, site access, induction scheduling, PPE allocation, and movement of specialist crews.
* Ensure compliance with safety and site security procedures.
Documentation & Reporting
* Maintain logistics registers, delivery records, and tracking documentation in line with project governance and execution planning standards.
* Support the preparation of daily/weekly logistics reports and interface with planning, commercial, and procurement teams.
* Ensure documentation accuracy to support audit trails, progress reporting, and contractual compliance
Supply Chain & Interface Support
* Work closely with supply chain partners, subcontractors, and internal departments to confirm delivery schedules, resolve issues, and update project stakeholders.
* Support onboarding, invoicing, and coordination processes referenced in internal CCS communications (e.g., supplier onboarding and associated documentation).
Compliance & Safety
* Ensure all logistics activities support environmental, safety, and carbon‑management best practices, consistent with industry guidance (e.g., PAS 2080 principles around carbon and infrastructure).
* Contribute to site readiness, pre‑start processes, and induction requirements.
Skills & Experience Required:
Essential
* Experience in transport, logistics, or fleet management within construction, utilities, or infrastructure.
* Working knowledge of LOLER, PUWER, Work at Height Regulations, and transport legislation
* Ability to manage multiple compliance streams across a multi-site operation.
* Strong organisational, data management, and communication skills.
Desirable
* CPC qualification or transport management qualification.
* NEBOSH / IOSH qualification or equivalent H&S background.
* Experience with digital inspection, asset management, or fleet systems.
* Experience supporting audits (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 900
