This isn't a role for someone looking to step up into their first Plant Manager position.
It's a senior opportunity for an experienced manufacturing leader to take complete ownership of a highly specialised, technology-driven composites manufacturing operation supplying customers around the world.
Our client is an internationally recognised manufacturer of advanced composite materials, operating a sophisticated automated production facility in Bahrain. With continued investment, ambitious growth plans and the retirement of a long-serving Plant Manager, they are seeking an exceptional leader to take responsibility for the entire manufacturing operation.

The Opportunity
Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will become the most senior operational leader on site, responsible for the day-to-day performance and long-term development of the manufacturing facility.
You'll lead every aspect of plant operations including production, maintenance, engineering, quality, warehousing, planning, HSE and continuous improvement, ensuring the business continues to deliver world-class manufacturing performance whilst supporting future growth and product development.
This is a genuine hands-on leadership role where you'll be expected to make decisions, solve problems and lead from the front.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the overall manufacturing operation.
Drive productivity, efficiency, quality and profitability.
Manage production, maintenance, quality, warehouse and planning teams.
Deliver Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Improve plant performance through data-driven operational management.
Support new product introduction, manufacturing trials and process optimisation.
Build, coach and develop high-performing operational teams.
Ensure world-class Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards.
Manage key operational KPIs including OEE, waste reduction, yield, throughput and customer delivery.
Develop manufacturing capability to support future expansion.
About You
We're looking for someone who has already successfully led a sophisticated manufacturing operation—not someone making the transition into plant leadership.
You'll ideally have:
* Proven experience as a Plant Manager, Factory Manager, Operations Manager or General Manager within advanced manufacturing.
* Strong experience within composites, glass fibre reinforcements, FRP, technical textiles, nonwovens or other continuous manufacturing environments.
* Experience managing automated production processes.
* Responsibility for production, maintenance, quality, warehousing and planning.
* A strong track record of operational improvement, Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
* Experience leading multidisciplinary manufacturing teams.
* The technical credibility to work alongside engineering and product development teams while remaining an operational leader first and foremost.
* Excellent communication skills and experience operating within international manufacturing businesses.
* A stable career history demonstrating long-term operational impact and sustained leadership.
Particularly Relevant Industry Backgrounds
Experience gained within one or more of the following would be highly advantageous:
Composite materials
Glass fibre reinforcement manufacturing
Technical textiles
Nonwoven manufacturing
Pultrusion
Continuous process manufacturing
Advanced engineered materials
High-volume automated manufacturing
