We’re supporting a high-performing Energy from Waste facility in Scotland, looking to appoint a Plant Manager to take full ownership of site operations, performance, and team leadership.

This is a senior role with full responsibility for delivering operational excellence, driving safety culture, and ensuring the plant meets contractual and financial targets.

The Role

* Full accountability for site operations, maintenance, and overall performance

* Lead a strong safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with all HSE and environmental regulations

* Deliver plant KPIs including availability, efficiency, and output targets

* Own site P&L, budgets, and financial performance

* Lead, develop, and manage a multidisciplinary operations and maintenance team

* Oversee outage planning, execution, and recovery from unplanned shutdowns

* Manage key stakeholder relationships including regulators, contractors, and internal functions

* Drive continuous improvement across plant performance, reliability, and cost efficiency

What They’re Looking For

* Senior leadership experience within power generation, EfW, or process plant environments

* Strong track record managing plant performance and delivering against KPIs

* Experience owning budgets and financial performance

* Strong knowledge of HSE, environmental compliance, and permit conditions

* Engineering background or equivalent operational experience - Qualification is essential

* Proven ability to lead, develop, and retain high-performing teams

* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
