Plant Operator (Junior) – Metals Recycling | Wolverhampton | £12.85+ per hour We are recruiting a Junior Plant Operator for our Wolverhampton-based client, a well-established metals recycling company specialising in the recovery of non-ferrous metals. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity where you will start as a Junior Operator and receive full support and training with clear progression opportunities within the business. Following a successful trial period, you will have the opportunity to become a permanent employee. A valid Counterbalance (CB) Forklift licence is essential for this role. Duties of the Plant Operator * Working as part of a team of 5–8 operatives * Operating plant machinery and assisting with daily plant operations * Assisting with plant maintenance and general housekeeping duties * Using plant management systems and tools such as Weightron, Pirana, and similar systems * Counterbalance forklift driving * Supporting safe, efficient, and compliant plant operations Pay, Hours & Contract Details * Pay rate: Starting from £12.85 per hour * Shift pattern: 4 on / 4 off * Working hours: 05:30am – 17:30pm ( Days or Nights available ) * Overtime: Available and paid at a premium rate * Duration: Temp to Perm Benefits of Working With Us * 28 days holiday per year (including bank holidays) * Weekly pay * Pension scheme * Employed status * Mortgage references available * Genuine temp-to-perm opportunities Ideal Candidate * Holds a valid Counterbalance Forklift licence * Previous plant, recycling, production, or industrial experience preferred (training provided) * Comfortable working long shifts and a rotating shift pattern * Reliable, motivated, and keen to progress into a permanent role * Able to work safely in a fast-paced industrial environment Apply Now If you’re looking for a long-term Plant Operator role with progression, weekly pay, and the opportunity to secure a permanent position, apply today.
