Plant Operator – Stoke-on-Trent Start: ASAP Duration: 6 months Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 39 hours per week Pay Rate: £16.55 per hour (PAYE) We’re currently looking for a Plant Operator to join a busy cylinder re-test facility in Stoke-on-Trent. This role is ideal for someone with a mechanical background who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in maintaining high safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities As a Plant Operator, you will * Inspect cylinders, valves and packs * Carry out refurbishment and re-validation of industrial and integrated products * Follow and maintain strict Health & Safety procedures * Identify faults and escalate issues when required * Support additional operational duties within the facility as needed Requirements * Minimum City & Guilds qualification in a mechanical discipline or NVQ equivalent (essential) * A proactive attitude with the ability to work on your own initiative * Positive and energetic approach to work * Good awareness of safety procedures in an industrial environment Desirable * Forklift truck licence (not essential – full training can be provided) What’s Offered * Competitive hourly rate * Full training provided within the cylinder testing area * Opportunity to gain further hands-on experience in a specialised industrial environment Interested in the Plant Operator role?
