PLC Controls Engineer
Location: Milton Keynes, UK
Hours: Full-Time, Monday-Friday 08:30-17:30. However, operational needs will require flexibility occasionally.
Starting salary: From £38k up to £45k based on the skills and experience you bring.

The Role
As a PLC Controls Engineer, you will play a critical role in our manufacturing process, ensuring our production lines run smoothly and efficiently. To do this, you will:
Design and develop PLC programmes for our existing and upcoming automated production lines.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to minimise downtime and ensure optimal performance.
Conduct regular maintenance and upgrades on PLC systems to keep our technology at the forefront of the industry.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to implement process improvements and enhance productivity.
Train and support production staff in the operation of PLC-controlled equipment.
About You
Experience
Theoretical knowledge, gained through related study or on-the-job experience, of PLC programming, HMI, and industrial automation. Knowledge of Schneider and Allen Bradley platforms is an advantage.
Practical application of PLC programming knowledge from design to implementation stages, either within an education-based project, or projects in a previous PLC Controls Engineer role preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
