Plumbing & Air Conditioning Engineer

London & South East (excluding the Essex area)

We are partnering with a respected facilities maintenance and project delivery specialist that is growing its engineering division across London and the South East, excluding Essex.

This role is ideal for an experienced plumbing‑biased engineer with air conditioning / HVAC experience, looking for a permanent position offering strong earning potential, varied commercial work, and long-term career progression.

The Role

You will carry out reactive and planned maintenance, fault finding, and minor project works across a portfolio of commercial premises, with a primary focus on plumbing systems and air conditioning equipment.

Engineers are trusted to work autonomously, delivering high-quality workmanship while maintaining excellent client relationships. Ongoing training and development are actively supported.

Salary & Package

£35,000 – £38,000 basic salary

Annual salary reviews

Regular overtime available – OTE £50,000–£55,000

28 days holiday (20 days + bank holidays, with additional days for long service)

Key Responsibilities

* Reactive and planned plumbing maintenance across commercial sites

* Fault finding, repair, and maintenance of air conditioning systems

* First and second fix plumbing works

* Diagnosing and repairing leaks, blockages, valves, pumps, and pipework

* Basic AC servicing, fault diagnosis, and breakdown support

* Accurate job logging via handheld devices

* Client communication and technical support where required

* Identifying and reporting additional works

* Working safely and in line with health & safety regulations

* Participation in an out-of-hours call-out rota

* Supporting small installation, refurbishment, and upgrade projects

Skills & Experience Required

* NVQ Level 2 or above in Plumbing

* Strong commercial plumbing maintenance experience

* Air conditioning / HVAC experience (fault finding, servicing, breakdowns)

* Experience with split systems and commercial AC units preferred

* CSCS card beneficial but not essential

* IPAF / MEWP preferred (training available)

* Able to work at heights

* IT literate (iPhone / iPad / Android)

* Full UK driving licence

* Flexible with overtime and occasional weekend work
