Plumber / Pipefitter

Job Title: Plumber/Pipefitter Location: Cambridge, Cambridgeshire Salary: Up to £21ph Benefits: Company van, 23 days holiday, Pension A regional M&E Contractor are looking for an experienced Plumber/Pipefitter to join their expanding Cambridge team. The company provides M&E services to a wide range of end user clients and main contractors across a variety of sectors including schools, universities, hospitals, research & development and high end residential. These projects range in value from but typically up to £3M. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing plumbing and pipework systems on new build and refurbishment projects, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with project specifications. As the Plumber/Pipefitter, you will have the following responsibilities: * Read and work from technical drawings and installation plans. * Install pipework systems including copper, stainless steel and plastic pipe. * Install heating, water and drainage systems. * Install pumps, valves, brackets and pipe supports. * Work alongside other trades on site to complete installations efficiently. * Ensure all installations comply with safety regulations and industry standards. Successful applicants will have the following qualifications and experience: * Overall knowledge and understanding of a wide variety of mechanical systems and their installation methods. * Proven experience in plumbing or pipefitting installations. * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. * Good knowledge of commercial plumbing systems. * Relevant qualifications (NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent). * CSCS card. * Strong work ethic and attention to detail. * Full UK driving licence.
