Plumbing and Heating Engineer
Plumbing & Heating Engineer Location: North (Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield) Salary: £16.80 – £18.40 p/h + Overtime + Company Vehicle (Inc. Private Use) Attega Group is proud to partner exclusively with our client to recruit an experienced Plumbing & Heating Engineer. This is a permanent, site-based role focused on high-quality New Build Housing installations and comprehensive aftercare. The Package Earnings: 45-hour basic week + consistent overtime (Average 50hrs). OT Rates: Saturday (1.5x) | Sunday (2.0x). Transport: Company van, fuel card, and uniform provided (Private use of van included). Time Off: 23 days holiday + Bank Holidays + Your Birthday Off. Key Responsibilities As a core member of the mechanical team, you will handle full-cycle installations and warranty support: New Build Installation: 1st & 2nd Fix, Soil & Waste, Sanitary Ware, and Steel Pipework. Commissioning: Testing and commissioning of systems and domestic boilers. Compliance: Carrying out Gas Safety Checks and issuing Landlord/Homeowner certificates. Aftercare: Attending emergency call-outs and managing snagging lists as directed by Contracts Managers. Communication: Providing feedback on customer care issues and site progress. Candidate Requirements We are looking for a technically proficient engineer who takes pride in their "site-ready" finish. Experience: Minimum 5 years in domestic plumbing and heating. Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 (Plumbing) or equivalent. Compliance: Active Skills Card / CSCS Card and a Full UK Driving License. Technical Skills: Proven experience in boiler replacements, system upgrades, heating controls, and commercial-spec steel pipe/water heater installations.
