b Title: Plumbing Assessor Location: Bury St Edmunds Salary: Up to £37,000 per annum Job Type: Full-Time About the Role We are seeking an experienced and motivated Plumbing Assessor to support apprentices and learners working towards plumbing qualifications in the Bury St Edmunds area. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified plumbing professional who is passionate about developing the next generation of skilled tradespeople. In this role, you will work with apprentices both in the workplace and remotely, assessing their practical skills and knowledge to ensure they meet the required industry standards. Key Responsibilities Assess apprentices working towards plumbing qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2 and Level 3) Conduct workplace visits to observe practical skills and provide feedback Review portfolios, evidence, and coursework to track learner progress Support apprentices in achieving their qualifications and meeting apprenticeship standards Maintain accurate assessment records and documentation Work closely with employers to support learner development Ensure all assessments meet awarding body and compliance requirements Requirements Strong industry experience as a qualified plumber Relevant plumbing qualification (NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent) An Assessor qualification (TAQA, CAVA, A1, or equivalent) is desirable but not essential Good organisational and communication skills Full UK driving licence preferred due to workplace visits What We Offer Salary up to £37,000 Opportunity to work with apprentices and support their career development Support to gain an assessor qualification if required Stable full-time role within a growing training provider Supportive and collaborative working environment How to Apply If you are an experienced plumber looking to move into assessing, or an existing assessor seeking a new opportunity in Bury St Edmunds, we would love to hear from you.
