We are looking for someone who can deliver a range of core subjects, ideally including:
* Domestic hot and cold water systems (including complex installations)
* Domestic central heating systems (including complex installations)
* Drainage and sanitation
* Environmental and sustainable technologies
* Health & Safety within the Construction Environment
A broader understanding of the Construction sector would be an advantage, along with a commitment to inspiring and developing the next generation of industry professionals.
About the role
You will teach across a variety of full‑time and part‑time programmes from Level 1 to Level 3, including Construction T‑Levels (both core and occupational specialisms), depending on your industrial and/or teaching experience.
Qualifications needed for this role:
* A relevant Level 3 qualification in Plumbing, Heating and/or Gas (or equivalent), or be able to demonstrate substantial industry experience in the field.
* Level 2 in Maths and English (GCSE Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent) is required.
* Applicants will be required to hold a full teaching qualification at Level 5 or above or be willing to work towards obtaining one. If you do not hold a suitable teaching qualification, the College will support you to obtain this as part of our investment in your professional development.
Key responsibilities include:
* Delivering high‑quality theoretical and practical teaching
* Designing and improving learning experiences
* Planning and carrying out assessments in line with awarding body requirements
* Monitoring, recording and supporting student progress using college systems
* Contributing to strong student retention, achievement and progression outcomes
