PMLD Teaching Assistant

PMLD Teaching Assistant – East London We are currently recruiting a compassionate and dedicated PMLD Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) in a supportive school in East London. This role is ideal for an experienced PMLD Teaching Assistant or SEN Teaching Assistant who has experience supporting children with complex needs. As a PMLD Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and SEN staff to provide 1:1 and small group support, helping pupils with PMLD access learning through sensory activities, communication support, and personalised care. Key Responsibilities * Provide 1:1 support as a PMLD Teaching Assistant for pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) * Support pupils with PMLD during classroom learning, sensory activities, and daily routines * Assist teachers in implementing EHCP targets and personalised learning plans * Support pupils with mobility, communication, and personal care needs where required * Help create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment Requirements * Experience working as a PMLD Teaching Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, or supporting pupils with PMLD or complex needs * Experience supporting pupils with EHCPs * Patient, caring, and passionate about supporting children with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties * Ability to work effectively as part of a supportive SEN team If you are a dedicated PMLD Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity in East London, we would love to hear from you.
