Portfolio Manager
Job Title: Portfolio Manager Salary: up to £57,824 dependent upon experience Location: Glascoed (3- 4 days per week on site) We currently have a vacancy to join one of the world’s leading, global defence, security and aerospace companies as a Portfolio Manager. The role will be based in Glascoed and will require the successful candidate to be on site a minimum of 3 days per week but with the ability to be flexible. This will be working a 37 hour week with a 1pm finish on Fridays. The company works at the cutting edge of technology, creating more than 100 new inventions every year for customers in over 100 countries. You will be joining a newly established project team (Special Projects team), assuming leadership responsibility for the delivery of individual work packages. Reporting directly to the Programme Manager, you will be accountable for ensuring the rigorous derivation and execution of the programme to achieve a robust and effective solution. Your responsibilities will include the meticulous planning of activities, providing sound and realistic completion estimates, and integrating appropriate risk mitigation measures to proactively address potential challenges. The position will be based in Glascoed, Monmouthshire on a five-day working pattern within a hybrid-working environment with very occasional travel to other customer, manufacturing and test and evaluation sites. Main Responsibilities: * You will lead the delivery of your project portfolio, monitoring and reporting performance across schedule, technical, financial and quality goals while providing professional project management and building good customer and supplier relationships through effective communication and expectation management. * You will identify and develop follow‑on business opportunities, deliver financial planning to meet targets for orders, sales, margin and cash, and ensure accurate forward‑load data is produced using business toolsets to support effective forecasting and portfolio decision making.
