Practice Accountant

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and submit year-end accounts and corporation tax computations to HMRC and Companies House for partner review.
• Prepare and submit charity accounts.
• Address client queries throughout the year.
• Prepare VAT returns, management accounts, and cash flow forecasts.
• Provide bookkeeping support to clients as required.
• Prepare self-assessment tax returns.
• Review the work of junior staff members.
• Meet face-to-face with clients to discuss accounts.
• Engage with potential new clients and assist with onboarding.
Profile & Requirements
• A minimum of five years’ experience working in an accountancy practice.
• Proficiency in using SAGE, QuickBooks, Xero, and Excel.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organisational skills to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
