Pre-Construction Engineer

Our client is seeking a Pre-Construction Engineer to join their team based in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a leading specialist contractor delivering complex demolition, remediation, and enabling works projects.  The Role The Pre-Construction Engineer will support the early stages of project delivery, working closely with estimating, commercial, and operational teams to develop technical solutions and ensure successful tender submissions. Key Responsibilities Review tender documentation and develop technical proposals Support the estimating team with buildability and methodology input Produce method statements, programmes, and technical submissions Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams during pre-construction Assist with value engineering and cost-effective design solutions Candidate Requirements Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or Construction-related discipline Experience in pre-construction, engineering, or project roles within demolition, enabling works, or civil engineering Strong understanding of construction methods and sequencing Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment What’s on Offer Competitive salary (dependent on experience) Company benefits package Career progression within a leading specialist contractor Opportunity to work on complex and high-profile projects
