The Opportunity -
An exciting opportunity has arisen for talented and committed teachers to join a new independent preparatory school opening September 2026 in Essex. The school will provide a high-quality, academically ambitious education for children aged 3-7, with a strong emphasis on language development, character education, and a broad, knowledge-rich curriculum.

This role offers the chance to be part of a founding teaching team, contributing to the development of the school's ethos, curriculum, and classroom culture from the outset.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons across the Early Years Foundation Stage and/or Key Stage 1
Create a calm, positive and purposeful classroom environment
Support pupils' academic progress and personal development
Foster independence, curiosity, and confidence in young learners
Monitor and assess pupil progress effectively
Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistency and quality of provision
Maintain high standards of professionalism and safeguardingCandidate Profile -
We are looking for individuals who:

Hold QTS or EYTS (essential)
Have experience teaching within EYFS and/or KS1 settings
Demonstrate strong knowledge of child development and effective teaching practice
Are reflective, motivated, and committed to delivering high standards
Are enthusiastic about contributing to a growing school community
Bring a positive, professional, and nurturing approach to teaching
Specialisms in subjects such as English, Mathematics, Science, PE, Art, or Languages are welcomed but not essential.Desirable:

Experience within the independent sector
Postgraduate qualifications (e.g. Master's degree)What's on Offer
